Our day started off bright and early with a grand surprise for Dave! We had rented a limo to take us to and from the airport without him knowing. Boy was he excited when he saw it pull up in front of house, the limo driver barely had the door open for him and he was in the back checking it out.
Nan stopped by to give Dave one last hug before heading out. She was also here to watch Hallie Dog while we are gone.
Is there a better way to start off vacation then in a limo, eating donuts, and watching Cars?
Almost at the airport!
Checking out some of the airplanes. Security was great in Philly, they have lines that are designated just for families. The Security Officers have special training on how to make it easier for parents and kids.
We could not have gotten a better plane to ride on!! Shamu!
Dave ready and excited to take off! Taking off was great, he loved looking out the window. Landing was a little bit different. We hit some turbulence and had to descend quickly so the pressure hurt his ears a bit. But not enough to not make him want to fly again.
Dave played his Leapfrog Leapster for almost the whole flight, a little break for some lunch.
A view or our first glimpses of sunny Florida! It was about 70 degrees when we landed.
One of the many stickers that we collected on our trip. This one is for riding the Disney Magical Express Service. This was so great we didn't have to collect our luggage, Disney elves did that for us and delivered it to our room. So there was no waiting at the airport at all, right on a bus to your hotel to your key to the kingdom and off to the parks! (If only (at the end of your trip) they would then pack everything and deliver it your house (that would be a truly magical express!).
Our Magical Express bus. And in perfect Disney fashion, you were entertained on the bus with a movie all about the parks and must sees!
Enjoying the bus ride.
(Did I mention this was Dave's first limo ride, plane ride, and bus ride?! All in one day!)
Our first glimpse of Disney property!
