After a well rested night we were up early and ready for the parks!! Dave didn't sleep in at all during vacation, well that's not true he did sleep in till 10:30 on our last day.
We headed downstairs to have breakfast in our hotel at the Whispering Canyon Cafe, which soon became our favorite place for breakfast, thanks to Chef Eddie. (Above you can see Dave waiting a the giant fireplace for our table to be ready. Dave thought that Pop would love this fireplace.) Chef Eddie was amazing, after the first day he remembered Dave and he would come our every morning and have a seat next to Dave and they would talk about what Dave did the day before in the parks and what he was planning on doing after breakfast. Chef Eddie would then prepare Dave whatever he wanted for breakfast! I will make sure to write a letter about Chef Eddie, he made us feel as though we were the only ones in the packed restaurant.
After a wonderful breakfast we were off to catch the next ferry boat to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom!
This is the view that saw while pulling up to the Magic Kingdom on the ferry boat. These black birds sunned themselves here everyday.
First stop was the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, boy is that Mike Wazowski a funny guy, eh monster! It was a great show, with audience participation, well that is if the monsters chose to pick on you, fortunately or unfortunately we were not he brunt of any of their jokes, this time. And sorry no photography allowed inside the show.
Then to one of the rides that Dave was super excited to go on . . . Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I know Buzz has a creeping glowing head in this picture and it's the only picture that I got during the ride, but I was way to busy trying to defend off the Evil Emperor Zurg and his many evil robots! It's much more important to save the world from the evil's of Zurg than to take pictures!!
A quick ride and chance to rest our feet for a few on the TTA, Tomorrowland Transit Authority. This ride takes you behind the scenes of most of the rides in Tomorrowland a great way to see Space Mountain, since we were not brave enough to ride that one!
While riding the TTA, we happened to look over and see that Buzz had just appeared, so off the ride right over to meet him. We were lucky enough to only have to wait about ten minutes or so!
Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!
One of Dave's highlights from the trip, getting to meet Buzz and having him be first to sign his autograph book!
Next stop Mickey's Toontown Fair.
First we visited Mickey's house! As you can see Dave was excited to see that Peter Pan had sent Mickey a package. The letters were from Buzz Lightyear, Minnie, and Goofy.
Mickey is in the middle of remodeling his kitchen. We did try to meet Mickey at the end of his house, but decided to opt out of the long line. but don't worry we get to meet Mickey and the whole crew a few other times, during our visit. Toontown, stared to be very crowded so we hopped on the next Walt Disney World Railroad train and got off at Adventureland!
Dave was excited to climb the Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse, Fred had told Dave before the left that this was his favorite in the Magic Kingdom, so Dave had to check it out! (Fred, Chris will be thanking you for this one later, LOL!)
checking out eh big ship's wheel in the treehouse. I think that we will have to rent the Swiss Family Robinson movie now that we have been in the house.
And one of my favorites, The Jungle Cruise! Did you know that the Schweitzer Falls are named after the famous doctor Albert . . . Falls? Just one of the corny facts that your skipper will tell you while on your journey through the southeast Asian jungle, Nile Valley, and the Amazon rain forest.
When we were getting ready to stop at the hotel and drop off our goodies before heading to dinner, we caught the end of the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It-Street Party.
Dave watching the end of the celebration party.
One of the window displays on Main Street.
Another window display on Main Street, everything in Disney is so perfect, and happens in minutes!
As we were leaving the park, we saw Dale
and Chip!
Who at first refused to sign Dave's autograph book, but after some begging he signed.
When we got back to the hotel, we noticed that there was some activity in the pool. This mother duck thought that it would be a good spot to teach her babies to swim.
Dave wanted his picture taken in front of the hotel.
Everyday we were greeted with a new towel animal!
I think that I need to learn how to fold these.
After dinner we went to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. Here are a few pictures from Lego World in Downtown Disney.
Dave's favorite, a Transformer.
Indiana Jones, they are all made complete out of Legos.
